Barcelona has to wait to return to the renovated Camp Nou -Huis after the city council rejected his request for an essential permit on Tuesday.
The Spanish champion hoped to organize Real Sociedad there on Sunday in La Liga with a reduced capacity of 27,000.
Instead, the Catalan giant will hold the game in the Olympic Stadium at the Montjuic Hill of the city, where it played the previous two seasons during working in Camp Nou.
«The club continues to work on obtaining the necessary administrative permits for the opening of Spotify Camp Nou in the coming weeks,» Barcelona said in a statement.
«The club is currently working on the new changes that the council has shared today.»
The fire fire brigade said there were problems with evacuation routes, in addition to other safety problems.
«We share the wish of the club to return as quickly as possible, but this city council must guarantee the safety of everyone who wants to go to the stadium – this is the priority,» said Laia Bonet, deputy mayor of Barcelona.
«We will have maximum cooperation with the club, so that they can solve the outstanding problems. We will not take a month or a minute longer than necessary to grant the initial occupancy shrimps when we have (everything we need).»
«Only because it is not ready does it not mean that it is not safe,» said Joan Sentelles of Barcelona reporters earlier on Tuesday during a tour through the stadium.

He also said that the roof will be placed on the stadium in the summer of 2027, a year later than originally planned. The stadium would reopen in November 2024, but the date was pushed back several times.

Barcelona is estimated at 1.5 billion euros ($ 1.75 billion) for the renovation of the stadium.
