Dutch defender Jurrien Timber was left out of Arsenal’s squad for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday.
Timber saw a tough time in the Premier League match against Everton on March 14 when he was substituted in the 39th minute.
Since then, the 24-year-old has missed the EFL Cup final against Manchester City and the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton.
«No (whether they have trained), they have problems. They are not ready yet. Let’s see, hopefully they will be ready for the weekend if everything goes well,» Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said on the eve of the Champions League match, confirming the absence of Timber and Bukayo Saka in training.
