Iran’s final warm-up match ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Grenada has been cancelled, meaning the team has played two warm-up matches ahead of the tournament.
The friendly was called off due to Grenada’s failure to field a squad for the match.
This is the second friendly match that Iran has seen canceled. Iran was previously scheduled to face Puerto Rico in the United States, but the match was also canceled after the team’s training camp was moved from the US to Mexico.
Iran is drawn in Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand.
