With Camp Nou not ready, Barcelona to play the first La Liga Home Match on Training Ground

Barcelona will start his Home La Liga campaign for 6,000 fans in the Ground Stadium training after Camp Nou -Renovation -removals have effectively left the Spanish giants homeless.

The club announced on Tuesday that it will come across on Sunday in Valencia in the Johan Cruyff Stadium, a modest location in his Sant Joan Despi training facilities on the outskirts of Barcelona.

The move to organize its fourth LA Liga match this season comes after the iconic Camp Nou -Renovation fell on schedule for nine months, forcing the club to find a temporary solution.

The tight location with 6,000 seats required La Liga to provide Barca a special exemption from competition rules that require clubs of the First Division to have a minimum capacity of 15,000 seats.

League technicians spent the past week inspecting the Johan Cruyff Stadium facilities and essential essential adjustments, including Var -Camera installations.

Barca had desperately hoped to return to a Camp Nou with a reduced capacity with 27,000 spectators, but did not succeed in obtaining the necessary permits from the Barcelona city council.

The alternative Lluis Company Olympic Stadium, where it has organized its competitions with the lowest presence in its recent history in the past few seasons, was excluded after a post Malone concert left the field in poor condition.

«The club works intensively to obtain the necessary administrative permits for the opening of the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium in the near future. That is why the game will eventually be played in the Estadi Johan Cruyff,» the club said in a statement.

«FC Barcelona thanks its members and fans for their understanding and support during the complex but exciting process to return to the new Spotify Camp Nou. The club will soon provide information about all the details about the competition organization and ticketing.»

The crisis leaves Barcelona and comes from a La Liga title and strong Champions League run, like a club without a house with the season that is already going on.
