Yasmim scored twice in the first half when title defender Brazil reached the semi-final of the Women’s Copa America with a 4-1 win over group B Rival Paraguay in Quito on Tuesday.
Yasmim opened the score in the 27th minute with a curly free kick that nestled in the distant pole, and she doubled the lead of Brazil 12 minutes later with an almost identical effort, bridging the Paraguayan -keeper.
The goalkeeper Lorena van Brazil produced an excellent salvation to refuse a long -distance attack by Claudia Martinez before Camila Araguay was sent after receiving a second yellow card for an error on Captain Marta.
Brazil made his numeric benefit counting with Amanda Gutierres, making it 3-0 in the hour, but a fake in the defense enabled Paraguay to withdraw in the 65th minute by the most important scorer Martinez of the tournament, which took her fifth goal of the competition.
Every hope for a comeback, however, was short -lived, because Duda Sampaio restored the lead of three goals from Brazil with a composed finish in the 75th minute.
