The Wales Women’s Football Team bus was involved in a traffic accident on the way to a training session on Tuesday, prior to the match of the Euro 2025 for Women against France in Switzerland.
As a result of the incident, the training session in the Arena St. Gallen was canceled, while the country’s football club confirmed that the players and employees in the vehicle were unharmed.
«All passengers on the bus national team of Cymru and in the other vehicle are unharmed,» said the Football Association of Wales in a statement. «The priority of the FAW was to remove the players from the scene and return to the Cymru Training Base to complete their preparations for tomorrow’s game.»
Wales coach Rhian Wilkinson, who was in a separate vehicle with skipper Angharad James, said that the well-being of her players was the priority for Wednesday’s game.

«Yes, football is secondary and I think, yes, we are shocked because we now love the team knowing that they had to experience that,» Wilkinson told a press conference.
“But also we have a great group and I am convinced that everyone is in order. We have practiced for the unexpected; that is what we can call this. We will check in with everyone and ensure that they are all in a good place and then we can concentrate on football again.
Wilkinson said the crash took place near the team hotel.
On Wednesday, France will be confronted and Wales wants to stay alive in the competition after losing his opening fixture with 3-0 against the Netherlands.
