WSL 2025-26: Manchester United Hammers London City, Chelsea’s Kerr-Scores

Manchester United Spits Melvine Malard scored twice in her Side’s 5-1 thrashing by London City Lionesses and Sam Kerr supplied Chelsea on her return after a note of long injuries while defeating Aston Villa with 3-1 in the Women’s Super League on Sunday.

United scored a number of excellent goals in his horror of the newcomers, but the headlines go to the Australian Kerr, who bundled the ball back in her first match after a 20 -month note to complete the score in the victory of her side on villa.

With Maya le Tissier who had given the lead from the penalty spot in the third minute, fullback Jayde Rivere brought home an hour later, first looking like she would cross before she rattled the ball in the net from a tight corner.

Malard, who also locked up the 4-0 thrashing of Leicester City by United on the opening weekend, hit her first goal of the day two minutes after the break and added a second three minutes later with an agile header.

Nikita Parris withdrew a goal for the home team against her former club, but Jess Park took a fifth in the 87th minute to complete the routes, her first goal since he came out of Manchester City on 4 September.

Leicester City bounced back from the fact that Shannon O’Brien was sent by scoring three minutes later when the Liverpool defeated 1-0, with Emily van Egmond taking the winner in the 59th minute.

On Friday, Alessia Russo scored twice when Arsenal West Ham United hammered 5-1, while Manchester City took his first victory of the season on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
