Zero with another border release to the CyTC border

This morning I didn’t want to wake up. You could hear him rain outside and I didn’t dare to look at the moment. I knew that if I looked and it was late, I would feel terrible. I also knew if I looked and it was still early, that I would realize that there was still time to get up and leave and have a full day of walking. I had not established any alarm last night and, for the first time at the ages, I decided to fly it. And as I could feel the time sliding during the morning, I began to lose any motivation to walk.

He did not help the slide felt in the same way and it seemed to rain all day. It ended up being a quite fast and unanimous decision. We were both going to take a zero day today in Snoqualmie. Although I am not in a position to take a zero day. I have to run for my life on the CDT to go through Colorado before winter arrives. But when will I have the opportunity to take another day zero with another hiker that makes the Triple Crown of the year Calendar of the border with the border? And not every day I can hide in the city to escape from the rain. It seemed like a mutual benefit.

We definitely procrastinated down to see if the room was available for another night. And initially the guy looked at me dead in the face and said they were completely reserved. I must have seen the horror in my eyes because he said he could move some things and make it work. I had already emotionally committed to take the day off, so it was no longer an option to walk. In addition, it was too late at this point.

After securing the room for another night we went and had breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby. Fire Master was there with some other hikers in one of his real life friends. It seemed that everyone was going to Seattle today because they needed some new team.

The only photo I took all day! Breakfast with slide.

For breakfast, I took two eggs with toast and a full order of some kind of pancake rolled with butter and strawberries. They were actually quite good. Then I took a lot of coffee and I hoped I motivated me to do a lot of work. At some point today I have to be extremely productive. But today it was a zero day like no other. It was still so early that after breakfast it seemed a much better idea to simply take a nap. Then, a couple of hours later, I finally managed to start marking some writing and editing videos. I have kept afloat very well recently, especially taking into account the great miles. But there is always much to do.

The rest of the day was lazy and charming. We ate more food and above all we left without doing anything. I rested a lot and managed to do some work. In the course of the whole day, I only physically left the hotel building once or twice to go to the side. At some point, I took an ice cream sandwich and finally obtained some hydrocortisone for the horrible friction on my back. I have been having horrible chafas during the last more than 1500 miles. And only now I washed my backpack in the city and bought hydrocortisone cream. It is so incredibly painful. I can’t postpone it anymore.

Then, on the night much earlier, we decided to return to the hydromassage bathtub once again. The goal was to have a rather early night, so making an early excursion is really feasible in the morning. At some point while we were in the hydromassage bathtub, Renegade entered. Actually, I was apparently in the AT in 2023. But I only met Firemaster and I never met him.

After that, we retired back to the room and cool for the rest of the night. We had already collected some food for dinner. And then I got some of my packaged things so that the morning is a little easier. Hope would be to start walking tomorrow at some time around 7 am. I would love to get at least 35 miles for the day.
