The Indian women’s national football team will tour Europe during the upcoming FIFA international period from November 24 to December 2.
This is according to a senior source within the national team Sports stars that the tour has been confirmed and India is likely to play two to three matches. The locations and opponents have yet to be decided.
Kosovo, ranked 93rd in the world, is one of the options on the table, but the details are in the final stages.
The source added that India (ranked 63rd) may not be looking at playing higher-ranked opponents but opponents ranked in the 80s as the country prepares for next year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
The Blue Tigresses qualified for the continental event on merit for the first time when they topped the group during the qualifiers.

They remained undefeated after triumphing over higher-ranked Thailand in a must-win match to book a ticket to the tournament, which will be hosted by Australia in March next year.
However, India has not won a match since qualifying for the Asian Cup. It suffered losses against Iran (0-2) and Nepal (1-2) in a friendly Tri-Nation tournament hosted by Shillong in October.
The team, although featuring players from the second tier, also played in Gangtok, Sikkim, for the first time, losing 0–3 on penalties – after a 1–1 draw in regular time – to Nepal in a practice match.
Currently, the Blue Tigresses are camped in Kolkata at the National Center of Excellence ahead of the friendlies in November.
