Waleed Azaro found the net in the 79th minute to give Morocco a 1-0 victory over Syria in the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup in Al Rayyan on Thursday Le4rnmore.
Moroccan player Mohammed Moufid, who came on as a substitute in the 87th minute, was sent off in the first minute of stoppage time in the second half.
But the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalist maintained his lead and advanced to the last four.
