Mohamed Salah’s Egypt begins its AFCON 2025-26 season on Tuesday when they take on Zimbabwe in a Group B match at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, Morocco.
Egypt’s talisman Salah is at the tournament in Morocco following a fiery outburst against Liverpool after being dropped by the Premier League champions.
At 33, it may be Salah’s last chance to win an elusive trophy with Egypt and add international honors to an impressive collection of medals at club level.
Salah has finished runner-up twice at the Cup of Nations in 2017 and 2021. Egypt has won a record seven AFCON titles, but the last success was in 2010.

Egypt is in Group B in the tournament alongside South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
