Decisions
Knowing that it was forecast to be rainy, cold, and miserable in Houston, we went on a hike to northern Arizona, USA.
After the holidays, flying to most places is cheaper than driving.
The same goes for accommodation. Knowing that the northern Arizona region is welcoming to hikers, we decided to dance there, hike, stay with friends, and keep our bodies in shape for my hike from Santa Fe to Taos in a few months.
Sedona, Arizona, known for its “unusual” atmosphere, proved exactly what we needed.
We went to Boynton Canyon. There were many well-marked trails there that were suitable for us.
Have you been?
There are also many attractions in the small towns nearby.
Chapel of the Holy Cross
Built right on the rocks
One of our Paths took us through the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Although we are not Catholic, we admire the architecture of the churches.
The design of the Chapel is astonishing, and was conceived by a woman in the early 1900s and then built for a staggering sum of three hundred thousand dollars.
It was an excellent series of walks. It was almost too hot! We spent about a week there and then headed back to the Texas Gulf Coast.
Vortices?
We never felt the vortexes despite walking on them. I guess we’re not sensitive enough.
