The Indian women’s football team will begin a preparatory camp for the Turkiye tour


The Indian senior football team started a three-day training camp in Gurugram on Monday, ahead of the tour to Turkiye later this month.

The 29-member Blue Tigresses will head to Antalya on Thursday to play three friendlies behind closed doors as part of their preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Australia.

They will play FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv (Ukraine) on January 18, followed by FC Zürich Frauen (Switzerland) on January 21, before moving to Manavga to face FC Schlieren (Switzerland) on January 24.

India will also travel to Australia in February to prepare for the continental event. The country has been drawn in Group C of the Asian Cup, alongside Japan, Chinese Taipei and Vietnam. The country starts its campaign on March 4.

Midfielders: Sangita Basfore, Babina Devi Lisham, Priyadharshini Selladurai, Anju Tamang, Karthika Angamuthu, Jasoda Munda, Sanfida Nongrum.

Forwards: Grace Dangmei, Soumya Guguloth, Karishma Shirvoikar, Rimpa Haldar, Malavika P, Pyari Xaxa, Lynda Kom Serto, Kaviya Pakkirisamy.
