India will play four friendly matches against European clubs in Turkiye ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup


The Indian senior women’s team will play four more friendlies against European clubs as part of the ongoing preparatory camp in Turkiye for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in March.

In their preparation, the Blue Tigers will compete against WFC Spartak Moscow (Russia), Hertha BSC Frauen (Germany), Zvezda-2005 Perm (Russia) and FK Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc (Romania).

India had earlier played two friendly matches against Ukrainian side FC Metalist 1925 (0-2 loss) on January 18 and Swiss side FC Schlieren (2-1 win) on January 24.

The team will leave Turkiye for Perth, Australia on February 10, where it will play more friendly matches in the run-up to the continental tournament.

India’s first match of the Asian Cup is against Vietnam on March 4.

  • January 30: India vs WFC Spartak Moscow, Side Star Sports Complex (Manavgat), 7:30 PM IST

  • February 2: India vs Hertha BSC Women, S&B Sport Football Complex (Serik), 5:30 PM IST

  • February 4: India vs Zvezda-2005 Perm, time and venue to be determined

  • February 7: India vs FK Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc, time and venue to be determined
