Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembele has a calf injury and will miss Saturday’s Ligue 1 match against Metz.
The club said in its weekly medical bulletin on Friday that the Ballon d’Or winner will do indoor gym work in the coming days as he recovers.
PSG host Monaco in the second leg of the Champions League play-offs on Wednesday, with a 3-2 lead from the first leg. Dembele injured his left calf during that game and came off the field in the first half.
Coach Luis Enrique did not say whether Dembélé will be ready for Monaco next week.

«It’s a blow. We are not taking any risks with any player,» he said. “We are trying to manage this as best we can.”
Dembele has been struggling with injuries all season. The 28-year-old was injured while playing for France in early September and made a first-half appearance against Bayern Munich in November.
He scored 11 goals in 25 games, after scoring a career-high 35 goals last season.
PSG are second in the French league and have a one-point lead over league leaders Lens heading into this weekend’s matches.
Luis Enrique recalled Lucas Chevalier against rock bottom Metz in place of Matvei Safonov, with both goalkeepers battling for the No.1 jersey this season following the departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma to Manchester City.
