Indian Football League Broadcast – AIFF offers Prasar Bharati feeds for free to IFL 2025-26 clubs

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has offered feeds of Prasar Bharati for regional broadcasting and streaming to all Indian Football League (IFL) clubs for the 2025-26 season, on a non-exclusive basis and without any entry fee.

Prasar Bharati is an autonomous statutory body and serves as India’s public broadcaster. It has two verticals: Doordarshan for television and All India Radio for radio.

Not only the feeds, but also the sub-license fees have been waived for the upcoming campaign of the IFL, the revamped version of the I-League, the second division of men’s football in India.

However, the feeds will be provided at a location to be determined by Prasar Bharati.

In addition, revenue from broadcast or streaming will be shared on a 60:40 basis: sixty percent will be retained by clubs, and forty percent will be attributed to the ISL 2025-26 central revenue pool, on mutually agreed payment terms.

“Any onward transmission from such predetermined location to a location required by the relevant broadcaster and/or streaming platform will be at the sole expense of the club(s),” reads the letter AIFF sent to the club on Wednesday.

The development comes as another step to give IFL clubs more autonomy, with the league already run by a governing council – nine club representatives – and a management committee – five club representatives – made up mainly of representatives from the IFL teams.

The exemption also comes in contrast to the top-flight Indian Super League 2025-2026, for which the streaming and broadcast rights go to FanCode for Rs. 8.62 Cr.

“AIFF will not bear any costs, liabilities or obligations (whether operational, technical, logistical or otherwise of any nature whatsoever) in respect of such onward transmission and sub-licensing of the feed,” the letter said. Sports stars has seen, further states.

“You will be solely liable for any liability or obligation arising from any such onward transfer, AIFF having no role, responsibility or involvement in any such arrangements.”

The Federation has asked the clubs to confirm their interest and responded with the following details:

a) a brief description of the purpose of obtaining such access

(b) documentary evidence of arrangements with a third party for the broadcast and/or streaming of IFL 2025-26 matches rfv6.

(c) List of IFL 2025-26 matches intended for broadcast and/or streaming.

The IFL starts on February 27 with Namdhari FC taking on Aizawl FC. The season will consist of 10 teams, with Diamond Harbor FC and Chanmari FC playing as the newly promoted teams.
