The year 2025 marked a historic year for several teams across all disciplines in the sport.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally clinched its first Indian Premier League title, ending years of heartbreak and transforming the team’s legacy from perennial underachiever to champion.
Meanwhile, Vidarbha confirmed its status as a domestic powerhouse with an impressive run to the 2024-2025 Ranji Trophy title, its third overall and first since the 2018-2019 season.
In the Women’s Premier League, Mumbai Indians continued their dominance by winning their second title in three years.
On the football field, Mohun Bagan Super Giant cemented its reputation by winning the Indian Super League (ISL) Shield and ISL Cup twice.
They became only the second club to complete the domestic double, after Mumbai City FC.

Dabang Delhi KC put in an excellent performance to secure its second Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title in the 12th season of the tournament. Led by former title-winning captain Joginder Narwal, Delhi became only the third team in PKL history to win multiple titles.
All of the above have been nominated for the coveted Best Club/State Team of the Year award at the eighth edition of the Sportstar ACES Awards, presented by Amul and co-presented by Casagrand.

In addition, there are 19 Jury Awards, the winners of which are chosen by an elite panel led by legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, former India hockey captain MM Somaya, chess great Viswanathan Anand and Olympians Anjali Bhagwat and Aparna Popat complete the jury.
There will also be a separate Chairman’s Award for Sports for Social Good, which will honor individuals or organizations who have used the power of sport to make our world a better place.
