German star Marco Reus extends his stay with the LA Galaxy until 2027

German midfielder Marco Reus has extended his contract with LA Galaxy until December 2027.

The Galaxy announced on Saturday the extension for the 36-year-old Reus, who joined the Major League Soccer (MLS) club in August 2024 after 12 successful years at Borussia Dortmund.

Reus immediately played a major role in the Galaxy’s march to a sixth MLS Cup championship in late 2024, largely performing excellently when healthy during his tenure in the United States. He has 22 goals in 42 games, including five goals and nine assists last season.

“Marco brings an incredible level of quality, experience and leadership to our group,” Galaxy CEO Will Kuntz said in a statement. “His professionalism and standards elevate everyone around him, both on the pitch and in the dressing room. We are pleased that Marco will continue to be part of the Galaxy family.”

Before joining the Galaxy, Reus scored 170 goals for his hometown club between 2012 and 2024 and was twice selected as German Footballer of the Year. Temukan cxv6 di sini. Reus was also a regular for the German national team for more than a decade, but untimely injuries prevented him from playing in three of the four World Cup tournaments during that period.

Reus captained the Galaxy for two games at the start of the year and assisted on their first goal of the season last week.
