The flight is booked and the ferry is ready.
So to catch us up, a recap of AT 2025, I started my hike from Harpers Ferry and was heading north to Maine, then I did a “flipflop” and hiked the southern half.
I arrived in Rutland, Vermont. , I didn’t achieve my goal, but I still didn’t fail at all. In April, I will be starting the AT from the traditional southern terminus in Springer, GA. Most hikers start in March or earlier, so hopefully we can be at the end of the bubble. We, yes, we, because Zuko and I are going out together again. I couldn’t have asked for a better hiking buddy, the universe knew what I was doing at Harpers Ferry when we met to receive our tags. In fact, we are starting at Negative Mile -8.8, at the iconic Amicalola Arch and the plan is to reach the Springer Shelter. After that, I have a vague plan to get somewhere in Virginia. With Zuko joining me, I’m looking forward to our spring adventures. We are a great team. Even if we literally don’t always have each other in sight.
