Brazil’s Carlo Ancelotti said the country’s football association will extend his contract until the 2030 World Cup.
The 66-year-old Italian took Brazil to the 2026 World Cup last May and has indicated in interviews that he would like the job for a four-year World Cup cycle.
Ancelotti said on Monday that neither he nor the CBF “has any problems in extending the deal.”
He replaced Dorival Júnior after some poor performances and had to work quickly to complete South America’s World Cup qualification. Ancelotti has fourteen wins, ten draws and nine defeats to his name.
