The Spain -midfielder Aitana Bossi left the hospital on Sunday and is expected to come back to the team in the coming days to try to play in the European championship for women, the Spanish football federation said.
The double balloon d’Or winner was admitted to the hospital after he fell ill at the end of Friday. She tested positively on meningitis.
«After a few days in the hospital with viral meningitis, Aitana Bolmatí has been removed from the hospital and the Spanish national team will come to the Spanish national team in the coming days,» said the federation in its short statement, without more detail about its condition.
Bonmati missed the friendly victory against Japan in Madrid and was not expected to travel to Switzerland with the rest on Sunday. It was not clear when she would travel.
The first game of Spain is on Thursday against Portugal in Bern. It will also be confronted with Belgium and Italy in group B at Euro 2025.

If the condition of Bolmati does not improve, coach Montse Tomé still has some time to replace her with another player for the tournament.
Spain won the World Cup in 2023 for its first major ladies trophy. It also won the inaugural edition of the Women’s Nations League in 2024. It never won the European championship.
The 27-year-old Bonmati has won the Top Individual Award for women’s football for the past two years. The Barcelona player was the key to Spain that the World Cup Women 2023 won.
Bolmati’s vision, dribbling skills, passing and goals are also of vital importance for Barcelona that reached five consecutive Champions League finals, with the Catalan club won three titles.
Her absence would put more pressure on Alexia Putellas, herself a double balloon d’Or winner, and fellow midfielder Patricia Guijarro van Barcelona to lead Spain in Switzerland.
Three years ago, Putellas tore her ACL three days before she started the 2022 European Championship. Spain was eliminated in the quarterfinals without his player at the time.
Spain still has to be favored in his opener against Portugal, a team that defeated it twice in April, incorporating a 7-1 home-in the Nations League.
