East Bengal produced a dominant performance to beat a struggling Mohammedan SC 7-0 at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata to jump to fourth place in the rankings.
Striker Youssef Ezzejjari saved a series of penalties for the home side, while central defender Anwar Ali was also on the scoresheet twice. Saul Crespo, PV Vishnu and Nandhakumar Sekhar were the other goalscorers for East Bengal.
Traveling team Mohammedan were forced to play with ten men for much of the match after defender Joseph Adjei was given his marching orders for a second yellow card towards the end of the first half.
