The draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, due to take place on April 11 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has been postponed indefinitely, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said on Thursday, amid the war in the Middle East.
“The decision was made after careful consideration to ensure the uninterrupted participation of all stakeholders in the Final Draw ceremony,” the AFC said in a statement.
No new date was immediately announced by the Confederation, which also saw regional club competitions disrupted due to the US and Israeli war against Iran.
