Bangladesh were eliminated from the 2026 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand on Tuesday after losing 0-1 to Vietnam in their final Group A match.
Nguyen Thi Thùy Linh scored the only goal of the match in the 49th minute.
Bangladesh needed to avoid defeat to at least have a chance of a place in the quarter-finals as they were one of the top two third-placed teams.
This was the team’s third consecutive defeat in the group stage, after losing 2-3 and 0-2 to Thailand and China respectively.
