Cole Palmer reveals his transfer plans from Chelsea to Manchester United

England and Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer revealed he has no plans to leave Chelsea despite rumors of his move to Manchester United.

“Everyone is just talking,” he told The Guardian in an interview about his transfer rumours.

«When I see it, I just smile. Manchester is obviously my home. My whole family is there, but I don’t miss it. Maybe if I don’t go for three months or something, I miss it. But then I come home and I think there’s nothing for me anyway.»

Born and raised in Manchester, Palmer came through the Manchester City academy before making his first-team debut under Pep Guardiola in a League Cup match against Burnley in 2020.

However, limited first-team opportunities saw him move to London, joining Chelsea in 2023 for a fee of £42.5 million.

Since then he has flourished in the Premier League. He broke Arjen Robben’s record for most goals contributed by a player aged 21 or under, scoring 53 goals and assisting a further 32 for the Blues.

Palmer, whose contract runs until 2033, claims he doesn’t see himself signing for another club anytime soon.

«I have no plans to leave Chelsea. We still have a lot to play for. We have the FA Cup semi-final (against Leeds) and if we finish in the Champions League it puts us in a good position to sign the players we need. We have spoken to the owners and they are confident of the players who will do that,» Palmer added.
