The second half of the 2025-2026 Indian Super League match between NorthEast United and Mohun Bagan Super Giant started after it was postponed by more than an hour due to persistent rain and a wet outfield in Guwahati.
The bad weather at the venue resulted in puddles on the pitch of the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, preventing the match from resuming.
Referee Crystal John inspected the field with both groups of players, but the ball was not moving freely across the field.
The game was called off around 8:30 PM IST and resumed around 9:45 PM IST.
Earlier in the match, Robson Robinho put the Mariners ahead in the first half.
