Danish football club Midtjylland said on Tuesday that 19-year-old player Alamara Djabi had been stabbed and had undergone surgery for life-threatening injuries.
Djabi has undergone two operations and is now in a stable condition after waking from an induced coma, the club said last weekend about the stabbing incident in home city Herning.

Midtjylland said it would make no further comment while police investigate and speak to witnesses.
Djabi, who hails from Guinea-Bissau, has made one appearance this season for the Danish league title chaser in the Europa League qualifying play-offs in August.
