PCT Days 1-3: The Journey

Days 1-3 in the books! It was harder than I thought. It was hard to stick to the mileage limit I had set for myself because I was so eager to get to the “next place.” I paid for it with a large blister on the sole of my left foot. Fortunately, a repeat hiker came and shared his K-tape, which helped me limp to Mount Laguna, where I took a zero to recover and dodge a storm.

I should have had a better plan for the blisters but I’ve never really had a problem….

This year there are almost no natural sources of water, so water planning is THE IMPORTANT THING and we are forced to transport more water than normal.

All in all, very interesting people, very interesting views, a very interesting experience so far.

Next stop, Julian!
