Brazil has confirmed that head coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the national team for a further four years until the 2030 World Cup.
Ancelotti was appointed Brazil’s head coach in May last year and has led the club since then Selecao to the 2026 World Cup, which starts on June 11 in the United States, Mexico and Canada. During his tenure, he boasts a record of five wins, two draws and three defeats from ten matches as he aims to lead Brazil to a sixth World Cup title.
«I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first minute I understood what football means to this country. For a year we worked to bring the Brazilian national team back to the top of the world. But the CBF and I want more. More wins, more time, more work,» Ancelotti said in a statement.
«We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for four more years. We will go together until the 2030 World Cup. I would like to thank the CBF for their trust. Thank you, Brazil, for the warm welcome and for all the affection,» said Ancelotti.
