WATCH: City beats United in Manchester derby to win FA Youth Cup in Guardiola’s presence

Manchester City won the FA Youth Cup with a 2-1 win over Manchester United as Reigan Heskey’s late strike sealed the win in front of his father, former England striker Emile Heskey.

The victory gave City a fifth title in the competition and their second in three years, after losing the final to Aston Villa last year.

Floyd Samba put City ahead five minutes before half-time when he scored a sensational free-kick from 25 yards, but United leveled just two minutes later when defender Godwill Kukonki whipped home a powerful header.

Heskey secured the victory after firing at the ball from an angle five minutes from time.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of City’s men’s team, stayed to attend the post-match victory celebrations.

The senior Heskey won the FA and UEFA Cups with Liverpool and made more than 60 appearances for England.
