Tunisia squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup: Burnley’s Hannibal included; Complete list of players

Tunisia announced its squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Friday as it prepares for a seventh appearance at the ‘greatest show in the world’.

Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri is the standout name in the country that has been drawn alongside the Netherlands, Japan and Sweden for the competition to be held in North America.

Meanwhile, captain Ferjani Sassi, who made 101 appearances for Tunisia, and defender Yassine Meriah, five caps away from a century of appearances for the North Africans, were both dropped from the squad.

Tunisia qualified for a third successive World Cup after finishing top of the group in the CAF qualifiers, with 28 points from 10 matches and more impressively without conceding a single goal.
