Barcelona star Alexia Putellas refused to answer questions about her future beyond this season on Friday as the former Ballon d’Or winner prepares to lead the Catalans to the Women’s Champions League final against Lyon.
“I am only concentrating on the immediate future, which is the final,” Putellas, winner of the 2021 and 2022 Ballon d’Or, told reporters in Oslo on the eve of the final.
“Every final has something special,” she added when asked if meeting the French team had a unique touch for her as it could be her last match for Barcelona.
The 2023 World Cup winner with Spain has already won the Champions League three times with Barcelona.

She has been linked by the Spanish media with a move to London City Lionesses, owned by Lyon owner Michele Kang.
Putellas, who has seven goals and seven assists in the Champions League this season, is wary of a Lyon side determined to win a record ninth European title.
“They are at the same level as in 2019, when we played them in the final for the first time. What has changed now is that we are a better team,” said Putellas.
