The wind howled when I opened my eyes. Unfortunately, the weather forecast was extremely precise. Winds with bursts of up to 80 km/h had been forecast for the top of Bromley Mt, and when I woke up and looked out the window of the heating cabin, I was sure that the forecasts had done well.
It was a day when trying to wait for the windy climate would not meet success. And yet, I took me. Around 7.30 am, I finally decided to challenge the conditions and picked up ready to address the storm.

Pepperoni’s pizza party

Just when I was about to leave, the dad and the two children with whom I had encountered several times when they walked along the long path. I was able to extract the details of the PPP operation (Pepperoni Pizza Party), since the family would be resisting in a parking lot of the path of path in a few days, and their friends come along with a portable pizza oven to make magic of trails.
After obtaining the crucial details for PPP, I was able to get off the mountain quickly and moved to the relative security of the tree line. I was full of PEP and I found myself flying along the path.

After a few kilometers, there was a blue blaze option available. An old way of forest land and a day walk that is parallel to AT. In the equidistant nature, the advantage of the blue fire was the ability to move faster and easier since the road would be much clearer. For those who have been reading this nonsense work, they will know what path I took to move forward.
After four hours he had walked 18 km. Definitely, the fastest I have moved, and I was enjoying being able to stretch until my normal march.
I stopped for lunch, a delicious combination of tortilla, pepperoni and cheese, and I sat for about 45 minutes near a pond, super relaxing, protected from the wind, and without rain I fell even semi dry (you are never really dry in the wet and humid).

I only had another nine kilometers to knock out the day, and they went easily. Although I was back in the AT, the land remained relatively soft and I could maintain my morning rhythm.

At 3pm I arrived at the camp. After a brief conversation with another hiker, I found a campaign platform. Now I will be honest, I am not a fan of the store platform and a trekking pole tent. The configuration is not as simple as when the tent is placed on a piece of flat ground.

But when you are in Rome, you do Roman things. Then, with some rocks judiciously placed and some modern engineering techniques, I achieved the almost impossible and had my store on the platform.

With this completed task, I put my hammock (a much simpler task) and delayed the afternoon. The camp was located in a pond and was incredibly peaceful.

Treasury hunters

Some treasure search engines arrived through the site in the afternoon. Apparently, a very rich man has buried the treasure through Vermont and left cryptic clues in a book he wrote, and this pond is considered a main contender for one of the boat cache. I don’t think any treasure has been located today.

Too soon it was time to have dinner, so I wandered towards the shelter to talk with Chestnut and some other hikers, and I cooked my now famous Ramen of Pad Thai. I have been experiencing with the amount of peanut butter that I can add before the plate is incapable. It turns out that it does not seem to be an upper limit, the dish becomes more creamy and cremol.
After dinner, I kept the hammock and went to the store for the bed. I will take my first day off after walking to the city tomorrow, and the anticipation of that transcendental occasion allowed me to fall quickly into a deep sleep.
