Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembele said he is “100% ready and ready to go” in Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal after suffering a calf injury.
The reigning Ballon d’Or winner is a concern for PSG after being substituted in the first half of the team’s last match in the French league, a defeat to Paris FC on May 17.
However, Dembélé is back in training this week and looks ready to start for the defending champions in Budapest.
“I was not afraid of missing the final,” Dembélé said at a press conference at the Puskas Arena on Friday. “I stopped as soon as I felt the downside (against Paris FC).”
PSG coach Luis Enrique was expected to provide an update on defender Achraf Hakimi’s fitness later.
Hakimi, PSG’s attacking right-back, has not played since suffering a right thigh injury against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals on April 28.
He has now been selected by Morocco for the World Cup and was also seen in training this week.
Dembele said the season has been “quite complicated for everyone at PSG” after reaching the Club World Cup final last summer, which cut the team’s off-season short.
