Lionel Messi scored a few goals to give Inter Miami enough attack to survive New England and to achieve a 2-1 win over the guest revolution in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Wednesday evening.
Inter Miami (10-3-5, 35 points) won his second consecutive game and moved to fifth place in the classification of the Eastern Conference. New England (6-8-6, 24 points) lost his second in a row and is without winning in the last five games.

New England cut Miami’s lead in half in the 79th minute when Carles Gil controlled a ball at the top of the box and tore a shot past Miami keeper Oscar Ustari.
The defense of Ustari and Miami, however, were below the last 11 minutes plus five minutes of stopping time to secure the valuable three points.
New England surpassed Miami 6-3 on goal on goal and 16-13 in general, but Miami made his best chances.
Messi, who only follows Sam Surridge from Nashville (16 goals) on the MLS scoring leaderboard after Wednesday evening matches, hit his first goal in the 27th minute.
