Mohun Bagan Super Giant has reached an agreement with Punjab FC manager Panagiotis Dilperis to take over as head coach next season.
Bagan were looking for a successor for Sergio Lobera, whose contract expired at the end of the 2025/26 season. The Spaniard had attracted interest from the Bangladesh men’s team before switching for former US captain Thomas Dooley.
Meanwhile, Dilperis will officially join the Mariners camp after the required paperwork is completed.
The 51-year-old has been in charge of the Shers since 2024 and took them to the semi-finals of the AIFF Super Cup last season and came within striking distance of winning the Indian Super League on the final matchday.
