Torrey’s summit and then Gray’s this morning almost felt too easy. I did not go for the Sunrise summit for which I had presented an alarm (I do not like to wake up too early if I am really sleeping of good quality), but I had still finished with both at 9:30 am and exploring the crest towards Mount Edwards. Because I had to rescue the crest earlier this week due to the thick storms that also violated the morning (making the route impassable), I still wanted to try the notorious gray crest walking in this section.
It was an exciting, very rocky hiking and with the hands necessary for balance, but also the type of walk that seems terrifying from the distance and the foreground manageable. The gray, green and blue rich of the lakes and the sky were spectacular and satisfactory, but still wanted it to be more feasible for me also by backing the Argentine column. Seeing how slow I was on the road to Mount Edwards, I realized that an out the the The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The Thip to The Thip, with storms in the afternoon still a guarantee.
I felt so relaxed by exploring this section and then directed along the interstate 70. I had accumulated this particularly high portion of the path (once you leave the Colorado path, you are mostly above 13,000 feet), in my head and now I passed it. Now what?
Reach I-70 and an invitation from a triple Corwner 芦Bandit禄, which I know from the PCT for dinner and potentially even rafting, I felt too spoiled but also hungry for warm food and a cozy place to spend the storm storm time in the afternoon. It may have been 芦trapped禄 in area I-70 for what seems an eternity now (four days have passed), but I am allowing my friends who are also angels of trails. I spent almost the whole first state alone. For now I wait under the high step, I feel strange for not walking at this time. Have patience to take good things when I arrive, right?
