Belgium sealed their place in the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a stunning 3-2 comeback win over Senegal in Seattle on Wednesday.
Goals from Habib Diarra and Ismaila Sarr looked set to help the Lions of Teranga take control of their round of 32 and seal progress. But late goals from Youri Tielemans and Romelu Lukaku helped the European team take the match to extra time.
Belgium were then awarded a penalty in the final moments of extra time for a foul on Tielemans, which was rightly converted by the skipper.
The side will now face fellow hosts USA after beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0. The game will take place on July 6 at Seattle Stadium.
