Aurelien Tchouameni will not start for France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 against Paraguay at the Philadelphia Stadium on Saturday.
The defensive midfielder, who was a regular under Didier Deschamps, is out due to a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old started three of France’s four matches at the tournament and will be replaced by Manu Kone.
France advanced to the knockout stages after topping Group I with a perfect record, winning all three matches before cruising to a 3–0 win over Sweden in the round of 32.
