Wolverhampton Wanderers paid tribute to the Portuguese attacker Diogo Jota by putting him in the Hall of Fame of the club after he was killed earlier this month in a car accident.
Jota helped Wolves to get promotion to the Premier League in 2018 before he came to Liverpool in 2020.
«Diogo was not only a phenomenal football player, but someone who was wearing Wolves with humility and friendliness during his time and is missed very much,» said Wolves’ director of football administration Matt Wild in a statement on Thursday in a statement.
Billy Wright, Derek Dougan and Steve Bull belong to those who have already been inaugurated in the Hall of Fame of the club, which was founded in 2008.
