Day 5 – 15.5 Miles – July 13

Home: Mile 46

END: Mile 61.5

Total: 15.5 mi

Ascent: 3419 ′

Descent: 2953 ′

I intended to get up around 6:30 am this morning, but I really didn’t want when I heard my alarm. I ended up going around 8 in the morning and discovered that the three camping near me where I was still there, which was a surprise.

As I got up a little later than usual, my store was completely dry in the morning! It hadn’t been from day one, so it was really pleasant.

I left around 9:15 am to walk with Bad Sherpa, Caboose and 2pac, which were a great company.

However, Caboose has had some bad feet problems, so they were moving quite slowly. Throughout the day, they finally decided to leave the trial in Rainy Pass, either that night or the next day, depending on the moment.

We took a long lunch at the top of a pass, and then we went through the heat. We arrive at Rainy Pass, where the trial interests with the road, around 7 pm, and the two girls were collected and taken back to the lion’s den to take a few days off and, hopefully, recover.

We both go out in mile 61.5 through the road, in a cleaning right side of the path and through some trees. I had a cold night, although with many mosquitoes, and ate a lot of sandwiches for the dinner of which I still had a lot.

We thought the plan was to walk to the Bridge Creek camp tomorrow, and then walk about 5 miles the next morning to Stehekin and take the morning bus in the city. This was due to the fact that we could not camp right next to where the bus was built, Bridge Creek was the closest.

I enjoyed walking with a group today, and I was happy to have done it where I did, although slowly.

See you in the next!
