The Downing Street Reception is organized by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and Sports Minister Stephanie Peacock.

«The lion ribbons have again conquered the hearts of the nation,» said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. «Their victory is not only a remarkable sports performance, but an inspiration for young people throughout the country. It is proof of determination, resilience and unit that defines this excellent team.»

It was back-to-back European trophies for England and another final that Kelly had a huge impact on, after he was also a replacement during the Euro 2022 Trophy match and scoring the winner against Germany in extra time to win a 2-1 victory.
