Late to the party? – The walk

Hello guys, here is the snow cat!

I feel that I get a little late to the party, however, unlike most of the other hikers, my adventure has just begun. Or not. It depends on how I see it. My attempt to walk on the PCT has begun in 2019, I did it to the Cove refuge, Oregon. There I had to leave the path due to a stress fracture. Isn’t it strange, to cause such an late injury on the path? I have heard that those injuries occur at the beginning of the paths, not so far in them. Well, there is a good reason.

I got too crazy, like Ikarus flying too close to the sun. I walked continuous days of 40 miles, without listening to my body and ignoring my shoes that were falling apart. Feeling invincible after crossing the mountains in a year of High Snow like 2019, winning my path name opening the path to Mount Whitney and Forester Pass after a snowstorm. I needed a humiliating experience and obtained one.

Now, 6 years later, with more knowledge about my body, I want to finish the adventure that had begun. The PCT and my failure to finish it have shaped my life and trust in recent years. I could never let go and at first I was hurt and, especially, envying my fellow hikers who could end. It was a really difficult time. But I could share my passion to walk with other people around the world walking on other paths, mainly in Europe and the PCT allowed me to make many friends, some of them believe that the family.

With adapted team, knowledge about how I have to treat my body for not breaking, I am ready to return to this land patch that leads from Mexico to Canada, that means a lot to me and probably for many of us.

Starting from Shelter Cove, to Canada. Come on!
