Former Barcelona striker Fridolina Rolfo joins Manchester United


Sweden Vooruit Fridolina Rolfö joined Manchester United on Friday to end her four -year -old Stint in Barcelona.

The 31-year-old Rolfö signed a contract until June 2027.

Rolfö, usually used as a left wing, made her 100th performance for Sweden at the European Championship last month. She has 33 international goals.

She previously played her club football for Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich and won two Champions League titles with Barcelona and scored the Clinch goal in one of the final.

United finished third in the Women’s Super League last season and plays in the Champions League.

«The WSL is probably the strongest competition in the world at the moment,» said Rolfö, «so that was a large part of the attraction of coming here, as well as the chance to help the team settle in the Champions League.»
