In the run -up to Sunday’s Kolkata Derby against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the quarterfinals of Durand Cup 2025, East Bengal will be Mohammed Rashid without its star.
Rashid, who suspended the defensive midfield on the side, was excluded after returning home after the death of his father. Rashid has flown back home.
In his absence, Miguel Ferreira and Hamid Yahdad will be responsible for controlling midfield. Yahdad is in good shape and scored in back-to-back competitions, while Mumbai City Recruit Bipin Singh is also impressed by two goals.
