Olympique de Marseille made the right decision to place France midfielder Adrien Rabiot and English winger Jonathan Rowe on the transfer list after their dressing room-Buste, making a player unconscious, said manager Roberto de Zerbi Friday.
The two players had a fight after the 1-0 loss of Friday at Stade Rennais, even though the host was reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Rabiot reportedly accused Rowe of a lack of dedication and they threw insults at each other before a physical fight before the team took place. The two players will not play against Paris FC on Saturday.

«In a workplace we have two employees who fight like in an English pub, with a teammate on the spot because he had lost consciousness. What should the employer do in France? There are two solutions, either suspension or dismissal,» the Zerbi told reporters.
“A clear decision (was taken) – to remove the players from the team while they wait to see how they feel. In a football club, like everywhere else, there must be a hierarchy. The club comes first.
«In recent history, Marseille is in the spotlight because of a lack of order and a lack of ethics within the club. So we were forced to make this decision, which was honest and temporary in the beginning. It was the right thing for the club to do.»
Marseille -President Pablo Longoria said that the team staff had described the fight as «incredible, violent and aggressive,» while the Zerbi said that bodyguards had to come to the rescue and the players had to divorce.

«It is the only time I have seen that. I come from the street, I am used to things like this. But to see bodyguards defending us …» the zerbi added.
“Tomorrow we will have to play without Rowe or Rabiot, which is not easy. I could have pretended that I would not see anything, but I am not going to lose my dignity to win the championship.
«I will always support the club. Yes, they have not broken their teeth, but I have never seen such a fight. I saw the doctor try to make the other player on the floor.»
Rabiot’s mother Veronique had hit the zerbi because he had freezed her son after the club gave Mason Greenwood a second chance after he was accused of abuse, accusations that were later withdrawn.
«The mother has forgotten two things: I decided to make him captain … and in a year I gave her son more attention and affection than my own son,» he said.
«For Rabiot’s mother to say that we have given Greenwood a second chance … That is crazy. We are talking about private life here. It is not fair to talk about other people. We are talking about a fight at a workplace.»
