Brazil to face South Korea, Japan, Friendly competitions in October


In October, Brazil plays South Korea and Japan in friendly matches as part of the preparation for the World Cup 2026, said the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) Tuesday.

The five-fold world champion will be confronted opposite South Korea on October 14 in Seoul and Japan in Tokyo on October 14.

Brazil has already secured its place at the World Cup 2026 and will play Chile and Bolivia next month in his last two qualifications.

CBF -general coordinator Rodrigo Caetano said that the friendly competitions are coming when Carlo Ancelotti’s side stands against teams with different backgrounds in the run -up to the World Cup.

«After the friendly matches against South Korea and Japan, our plan to play African national teams in November and the best European teams in March and June 2026,» said Caetano.

«We understand that it will provide valuable experience and challenges that we can encounter during the World Cup,» he added with different football styles from all over the world.

Ancelotti said he hopes that the matches will help him better understand the characteristics and personalities of the players prior to next year’s 48 team tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The 66-year-old Italian took over Brazil in May after a successful enchantment at Real Madrid.
