Brazilian attacker Robson Robinho joins Mohun Bagan

Brazilian attacker Robson Robinho has become a member of Mohun Bagan Super Giant, the Indian Super League side announced on Saturday.

Robinho, who has previously played in the Brazilian Serie A (the top flight of Brazil), joins MBSG of EC Agua Santa (SP), a club based in Sao Paulo that plays in the third division of the region.

The 30-year-old has played most of his professional football in Brazil, but has left an important mark in South Asian football during his stint with Bashundhara Kings.

Robinho won seven trophies with the Bengalian side, scored 64 goals and delivered 49 assists in 97 performances.

«I played against Mohun Bagan when I was at Basundhaa Kings. I knew that it is the most successful club of India at the time. I am sure the people in the club remember me how I played in that game, and I hope to imitate the same kind of success here. Let’s wait and watch Robinho.
