Say my name, give my name

This episode of High Five Hiker Radio, «Transmission from the top of the path, or the lower part of your package»,* comes to you from somewhere in Utah, the landing place for a harmony D. is preparing for a backpack trip on the path of the Wonderland with a group of veterans, RWB team. Let’s register with her.

So, Harmony, The Wonderland Trail, we don’t hear much about that path in the world of AT, PCT, CDT, CT, ABC (123).

Thanks Brian. The Wonderland Trail is a strenuous backpacker loop of 93 miles around Mt Ranier. We are going to walk for nine days, eight nights. We were going to walk 3 days with two caches of food, however, with the permanent closure (as of September 2025) of the vehicle bridge in Mowich Lake, we are walking 6 days, food cache in Longmire, the circuit ends in White River Campground.

How did you find out about that?

Oh great question. I am a member of the RWB team, a group of non -profit veterans, who were looking for adventure search engines earlier this year. Some of their trips included rowers from the Mississippi River, backpackers of the Smoky Mountains National Park and our group. Team RWB will take care of logistics, permits and meals and thought it would be a unique opportunity in life. Similar to the interview for a job, I completed an online application with a tracking video interview with the leaders of our group, Dan and Greg. One of the previous requirements for this specific trip was that we had to have our own team.

Wait, what, do you have backpacking equipment? Let’s look at that in a minute, but first, harmony, I see that he has more than 1100 miles in AT, PCT and CDT, is Harmony his path of path?

What is in a name?

Harmony is my government name. I have maintained it through all hiking miles.

Because?

While living in the mountains of Colorado, the 5 -year -old daughter of a beloved friend told a funny story to her mother’s friend. As innocently as a girl can, she says coincidentally: «Oh, you know harmony», as if all in this ski city of 1500 people know everyone. We don’t. In my half century on earth, I have known or heard less than 10 harmonies. I am a bit like Cher. Or Madonna. Years later, while I was a backpack at At Northward from the south of the terminal, I told the story of my friend’s daughter to the Tramilia, and I realized that I will politely reject a path of path. I don’t need a pink panther, Bodhi or a name of Dragon Ballz path ** to remember.
