Chelsea-Jongere Estevao scored his first international goal when Brazil beat Chile 3-0 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Friday.
Replacement Lucas Paqueta and Bruno Guimaraes also found the back of the net when Brazil climbed to the second in the rankings in Conmebol.
Chile, on the other hand, was already eliminated from playing in next year’s tournament and fell at the age of 11 in 17 games in the qualifying tournament.
The men of Carlo Ancelotti were dominant from the start and thought they had taken the lead in the first five minutes when Casemiro nodded in Raphinha’s Freekick. However, the parties were demolished after he had been assessed offside.

Brazil took the lead in the 38th minute when Raphinha’s shot bounced from the opposition handle’s box before he flashed over the face of the goal. Estevao then produced a nice overhead kick on the goal line to take the lead.
Paqueta took the second in the 72nd minute, only a few moments after he was immersed. Another replacement, Luiz Henrique, drove his way into the box and broke into a cross that went through the West Ham United Midifielder in an empty net.
Guimaraes sealed the game four minutes later with an easy finish after Henrique’s shot had hit the bar up close and fell in front of him.
